Challenge

Agencies estimate software they never live with

Objective

Solution

Two products, built and run by us

Outcome

04The challenge

Software we live with.

Not client work. Two products we built, own, ship and support.

Most agencies estimate software they will never have to live with. We set ourselves the opposite condition: own products end to end — architecture, support burden, migrations — so our estimates come from experience, not optimism.

The friction

Estimates without consequences

Support burden unknown

Architecture debt invisible

05The transformation

Before

  • Estimates from optimism
  • Software shipped in slides
  • Support as afterthought

After

  • Estimates from experience
  • Products run in production
  • Support with a name
06Project goals

What we set out to prove.

01

Run our own software in production, not in slides.

02

Feel every architecture decision and support burden ourselves.

03

Build module-first so systems grow without rewrites.

04

Let our own products inform how we scope client systems.

10Why it matters to clients
The point of owning products

Estimates from experience.

Every architecture decision, support burden and migration headache in these products informs how we scope yours. It’s the difference between an agency that estimates software and one that has lived with the consequences of its own estimates.
